Rashid Abdallah Super Cup 6th Edition: Quarterfinals Set After Intense Round of 16 Battles
The Rashid Abdallah Super Cup 6th Edition has reached the business end as the quarterfinals are officially set following a thrilling Round of 16 that delivered top-class football and breathtaking moments.
One of the most exciting encounters saw Bandari Youth face Generation United in a tense and evenly matched contest. Both sides created chances but failed to convert in regulation time.
In the 15th minute, Yusuf Ali China unleashed a stunning outside-foot strike that was brilliantly saved by the Generation United keeper. Hemed Mwatsingwa dazzled in the 27th minute, beating two defenders before being fouled near the box. Tsali took the resulting free kick, forcing Francis Katana into another fine save to concede a corner. Moments later, Erisat Orute connected beautifully with a clever pass from Yusuf Ali China, but again, the keeper stood tall to keep the score level.
With no goals after full time, the game went to penalties where Bandari Youth triumphed 5-4, booking their place in the quarterfinals.
