Unga ni Taifa Super Cup Kicks Off in Style at Mombasa Sports Club
The much-anticipated Unga Ni Taifa Super Cup officially kicked off yesterday at the Mombasa Sports Club, marking the beginning of a grassroots football spectacle aimed at nurturing young talent across Mombasa County.
The opening match lived up to expectations as Sparki Youth began their campaign on a high, edging Kisauni Hope 2–1 in an entertaining and competitive encounter. Sparki Youth showed composure and hunger, setting the tone for what promises to be an action-packed tournament.
The competition, proudly sponsored by Mombasa Maize Millers, will run until 28th December and has attracted some of the most promising young players from different sub-counties. The long tournament format gives teams ample opportunity to showcase depth, quality, and consistency.
A lucrative prize pool has been set to motivate teams and individuals alike.
