Murang’a Seal’s preseason preparations in Tanzania have suffered a major blow following a complete breakdown in tournament organization, according to sources close to the club.

The SportPesa League side had set up base in Arusha, anticipating a scheduled friendly against Tanzanian club Namungo FC on Sunday in Singida, roughly 165 kilometers away. However, what followed was a cascading sequence of last-minute disruptions. Organizers first postponed the match to Monday, before informing the team on Sunday evening that the venue had been abruptly shifted to Braeburn School in Arusha.

Upon inspecting the school grounds, the technical bench firmly rejected the facility, describing the playing surface as unplayable and worse than the outdated Machakos pitch of past seasons. Although the fixture was temporarily relocated to Murang’a Seal's own training ground in Arusha, organizers called at 3:00 PM on Monday—just hours before kickoff—to announce that Namungo FC was unavailable, replacing them on short notice with Fountain Gate FC.

Murang’a Seal ultimately suffered a 2–0 defeat against Fountain Gate in a match heavily marred by what insiders described as pathetic officiating.
