Kenya Police FC CEO Eyes Historic Double Ahead of FKF Women’s Premier League Finale

Kenya Police Football Club CEO, Chris Mmbwanga Oguso, HSC, has set the tone for a potentially historic weekend by declaring his ambitions for silverware, stating, “We are going for this trophy on Sunday,” while holding the FKF Women’s Premier League trophy ahead of the season’s final round of matches.

Both Kenya Police FC (men) and Kenya Police Bullets (women) are in pole position to win their respective leagues, with just one final hurdle to clear to seal a memorable double triumph.

Kenya Police Bullets: A Meteoric Rise

Formed in 2023 after Kenya Police FC acquired FKF Women’s Premier League side Thika Queens to align with CAF Club Licensing regulations, the Kenya Police Bullets have made an immediate impact on the local and regional scene.

In their debut season, the Bullets stormed to the FKF Women’s Premier League title and earned a spot in the CAF Women’s Champions League CECAFA Zonal qualifiers, where they impressed by finishing second behind hosts Commercial Bank of Ethiopia in Addis Ababa.

This Sunday, the Bullets will walk into Afraha Stadium in Nakuru knowing that a win against Trinity Starlets will not only see them defend their league crown but also book their second straight appearance in the CAF Women’s Champions League regional qualifiers. Their closest challengers, Ulinzi Starlets, sit two points behind and will host Kisumu All Starlets at the Ulinzi Sports Complex in Nairobi. Both matches are scheduled for 2PM EAT kick-off.

Kenya Police FC: From Promotion to Powerhouse

The men’s side has enjoyed a similarly impressive rise. Founded in 2014 and promoted to the FKF Premier League in 2021, Kenya Police FC’s progress has been rapid and strategic. They won the FKF Cup in 2024, earning a place in the CAF Confederation Cup, where they eliminated Ethiopia’s Coffee SC before narrowly losing to continental giants Zamalek in the second preliminary round.

Currently leading the FKF Premier League standings, Kenya Police FC need just one more win—when the league resumes after a three-week break—to clinch their first-ever top-flight title.

Quadruple Dream Alive

With both teams also still in contention for the Mozzart Bet Cup (men) and the FKF Women’s Cup, the Police sides are chasing what would be a historic quadruple.

CEO Chris Mmbwanga Oguso’s confident message underscores the ambition and determination within the camp as the law enforcers seek to stamp their dominance on Kenyan football, both on the men’s and women’s front.

Should both clubs win their matches, it will mark an extraordinary moment not just for Kenya Police FC, but for Kenyan football as a whole—a testament to planning, investment, and unwavering commitment to excellence.
