Bandari FC Secure Second Win of the Season as Erisat Orute Shines Under New Coach Borji

Bandari FC picked up their second win of the season with a solid 2-0 victory over Sofapaka, handing new Moroccan head coach Mohamed Borji his first triumph since taking over the Dockers. The match began at a high tempo, with Bandari immediately asserting dominance and threatening Sofapaka’s backline.

It took Bandari only five minutes to open the scoring. Young forward Erisat Orute, recently promoted from Bandari Youth, produced a moment of class as he dribbled past three Sofapaka defenders before calmly placing the ball into the net—his first-ever Kenya Premier League goal.

The Dockers continued to push, and in the 20th minute, Orute struck again. After receiving a clever out-foot pass from winger Darius Msagha, the youngster unleashed a powerful 25-yard rocket, doubling Bandari’s lead and completing a memorable brace.

The first half ended with Bandari firmly in control. After the break, the Dockers adopted a more defensive approach, absorbing pressure while remaining dangerous on counterattacks through the speed and creativity of Orute and Msagha. Amza Mubarak, playing as the central striker, added physical presence up front as Bandari held their structure.

Despite Sofapaka’s attempts to fight back, Bandari’s disciplined defending ensured the match ended 2-0 in favour of the Dockers.
