Bandari Set for Kakamega Homeboys Clash at Mbaraki

Bandari FC will return to SportPesa Premier League action on Saturday with a home fixture against Kakamega Homeboys at the Mbaraki Sports Club, as the Dockers look to build on their recent steady run of form.

Speaking ahead of the encounter, interim head coach Razak Siwa expressed satisfaction with how his squad has returned from the festive break, noting that the players followed instructions given to them before heading out.

“The players came back well and strong. We had earlier told them to keep a good check on themselves as they headed into the festive season, so we are happy they are all back and in good shape,” said Siwa.

The coach confirmed that only two players will miss the match due to injury.

“William Gitama and Beja Nyamawi are unavailable, but the rest of the squad has resumed training and is ready for the task.”

Siwa also acknowledged the quality of the opposition, admitting that Kakamega Homeboys are a formidable side currently enjoying good form. However, he remains confident in his team’s preparations and believes playing at home gives Bandari an added advantage.

“Kakamega are a good team and they are in good form, but as the Dockers we have prepared well to face them. Being at home is another advantage for us.”

Under Siwa’s interim leadership, Bandari remain unbeaten, having recorded one win and two draws.

Midfielder Shariff Majabe also weighed in on the importance of the match, highlighting the team’s current league position and the positive atmosphere within the camp.

“We are not in a good position, so this game won’t be easy for them or for us. But we are at home and we are going to push for a win. The camp is in a good mood and everybody is ready for the match,” said Majabe.

Meanwhile, club spokesperson Ali Said called on Bandari supporters to turn up in large numbers to rally behind the team. He also confirmed ticketing details for the match.

“We urge our fans to come out in large numbers to support the team. Regular tickets will go for KSh 100, while VIP tickets will be KSh 500.”

With home advantage, growing confidence, and fan support expected at Mbaraki, Bandari will be keen to extend their unbeaten run and climb up the league standings when they host Kakamega Homeboys on Saturday.
