Bandari Youth Off to a Flying Start in Their Debut FKF Division One Season
Bandari Youth FC have made an impressive start to their debut FKF Division One campaign, recording three consecutive victories. The youthful Dockers are showing great promise as they adapt to life in Kenya’s third tier.
After today’s 2–0 victory over Mombasa Stars, Bandari Youth have firmly announced their arrival in the FKF Division One League with three consecutive wins in their debut season.
The Dockers’ developmental side, fielding a youthful and energetic squad, have shown impressive composure and consistency across their opening fixtures. Their latest triumph came against a Mombasa Stars side recently relegated from the FKF National Super League — a result that highlights the promise and potential within Bandari Youth’s ranks.
Mombasa Stars, who were demoted from Kenya’s second-tier league at the end of last season, are still adjusting to life in the FKF Division One League, the country’s third tier. In contrast, Bandari Youth appear to be on an upward trajectory after earning promotion from the FKF Division Two League.
The Mombasa-based outfit secured their place in the expanded Division One League after finishing third in the Division Two Northern Zone Pool A. The FKF recently restructured the Division One League, expanding it from two zones (A and B) to four, each containing 16 teams. The leaders of these four zones will earn promotion to the FKF National Super League. Bandari Youth currently compete in Zone B.
So far, their performances have been convincing:
-
Bandari Youth 2–1 Kangemi All-Stars
-
Bandari Youth 2–0 Ishiara FC
-
Mombasa Stars FC 0–2 Bandari Youth
Their goals have been spread across the team, with Ghalib Ali Boboi and Abdulmajid Chiba netting two goals each, while Leonard Okuku and Ahmed Shaw have also found the back of the net.
As the team continues to build momentum, Bandari Youth will next face Kariobangi Legends and Ruiru Hotstars—two crucial fixtures that will test their early-season form.
If their current run is anything to go by, the young Dockers are setting themselves up as one of the most exciting sides to watch in this year’s Division One campaign.
