AGAR TOTO -Kibera Soccer Women's FC sink Vihiga Queens to secure maiden FKF Women's Cup Title

In a thrilling final at Afraha Stadium, Kibera Soccer Women’s FC etched their name into Kenyan football history by clinching their first-ever FKF Women’s Cup title, defeating Vihiga Queens 1-0 thanks to a dramatic 91st-minute goal from Stella Adhiambo.

The win ended Ulinzi Starlets’ three-year reign and marked a new chapter in the competition's four-edition history.

Kibera’s journey to the title has been a story of relentless progress. After securing third place in 2023 and finishing as runners-up in 2024, the Nairobi-based side completed their ascent to the pinnacle in 2025, securing the club's first major title.

Their campaign was a testament to their growing prowess, starting with a commanding 6-0 demolition of Gaspo Women in the Round of 32, followed by a 2-0 victory over Sunderland Samba in the Round of 16.

They then toppled the defending champions Ulinzi Starlets in the last 8 before dispatching Police Bullets in the semifinals to book a place in the final of the competition for the second consecutive year.

The win was something to smile about for Kibera Soccer's head coach David Bujego after they lost the league title in the latter stages of the season.

For Vihiga, the record FKF Women's Premier League champions, their pursuit of a first FKF Women's Cup title continues. They have now lost twice in the final: in the inaugural edition (2021) to Ulinzi Starlets and the 2025 final against Kibera Soccer.
