BREAKING: Austin Odhiambo Joins Lebanese Club Nejmeh SC

Lebanese giants Nejmeh SC have officially announced the signing of Harambee Stars and Gor Mahia playmaker Austin Odhiambo, marking a significant move for one of Kenya’s most in form attacking midfielders. Odhiambo joins a familiar environment in Lebanon, with fellow Kenyans Masud Juma and Anthony Akumu already on the club’s books.

Nicknamed “Rolls Royce,” Odhiambo arrives at Nejmeh with a growing reputation built on both club and international performances. He was one of Kenya’s standout players during the recent CHAN tournament, scoring two goals in two matches against strong opposition. His winner against pre tournament favorites and two time champions DR Congo showcased his composure and intelligent movement, while his calmly taken penalty against Angola underlined his confidence on the big stage.

At club level, Odhiambo has been a consistent and reliable source of goals for Gor Mahia. In the 2024/25 FKF Premier League season, he finished with 11 league goals, continuing a run of strong performances that have made him one of the most influential players in Kenyan football. His impact was even more pronounced the previous season, when he was named the 2023/2024 Kenyan Premier League Most Valuable Player at the FKF Gala Awards held in July 2024.

That award capped a stellar campaign in which Odhiambo played a central role in Gor Mahia’s title winning run. He contributed 12 goals and 13 assists as the club secured their record 21st FKF Premier League crown, further cementing his status as one of the league’s top attacking talents.
